It's Sunday morning at AmiWest 2011 and we're getting ready to open the show again. Yesterday was a great day with more new announcements: an Amiga netbook is on the way! The announcment at last night's AmiWest banquet was met with cheers and applause. This is intended as an entry-level machine. Projected date for delivery is the first half of 2012 and the price point is between $300-$400 USD. Amigakit will be distributor and dealer for the new hardware. AmigaOS will be included in the price. We will post the specs on the amiwest.net blog when a complete spec sheet becomes available. More great news will be coming your way today. Check back soon!

The show floor is buzzing with news of the AmigaOne X1000 and infocessories is handing out AmiWest 2011 notepad freebies along with our new business cards and AmiWest information cards. It's all available at AmiWest. We're now getting ready for the latest AOS4.1 demo by Steven Solie. Everyone who is here is really enjoying the Amiga luminaries who are present. We just met Bryce Nesbitt, Amiga OS engineer from OS1.1 onward, here in person at AmiWest. It's very exciting and rewarding to become acquainted with all these significant people in the Amiga universe. More later. . .
